One of the most valuable types of wood in Sweden is oak. Its ribbon-pored timber with clearly marked growth rings is both strong, resilient and incredibly durable. From our native tree species, oak has the best resistance to rot. The color is light to medium brown with a slight olive tone and rough texture.
