Beech is one of the most widely used deciduous trees in Europe. It is a spruce wood type with heavy, hard and tough wood that can be easily bent. It shrinks and swells quickly in the event of moisture changes but is easy to work with. The color is cream white with a pink or brown hue. The tree’s marrow rays, which appear as small brown lines, give a special character to the wood.
